This is me on a train. I don’t have much to say about it beyond me needing a better headshot.
Hi! I’m Alex!
Passionate Communicator. Visual Thinker.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a storyteller. Whether that’s longwinded stories swapped around a campfire or recapping the day’s events to a loved one, there’s something powerful about telling stories and sharing experiences.
I was born and raised in Carnegie, PA – a suburb about 5 miles outside of Pittsburgh. I’m a proud graduate of Carlynton High School (Go Cougars) and Point Park University (Go Bisoneers). While at Point Park, I edited the Point Park University Globe and served as general manager for WPPJ-AM.
I left Pittsburgh for my first professional job as a newscast producer at Erie News Now, the NBC/CBS affiliate for Erie Pennsylvania. While there, I produced live coverage of the Tall Ships festival, several investigative series, and the 2021 Emmy-nominated Presque Isle Centennial documentary.
I jumped at the chance to head back home to Pittsburgh and produce for WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh. Since then, I’ve helped re-launch the iconic 11 at 11 brand and have joined the 11 Investigates team supporting our reporters and anchors.
I’m proud to serve on the board of the Andrew Carnegie Free Library and Music Hall in Carnegie, as well as a Governor for the Mid-Atlantic chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
I consider myself a data nerd, a designer, and someone always trying to figure out how the world works.
Home, Sweet Bylines:
